Mountain ranges approach the summit peak

Like ocean waves approach a shore.

Wind racing itself across the mountaintop

Playing tag amidst the trees

     Grasses tossing,

     Hair whipping,

     Caps lunging,

Joyous screams of children

Rendering the air.


One by one,

Cars came

And went.

Still she sat,




As the sun melted into the clouds,

As the bumblebee challenged the wind,

Yet another minivan drove up.

But, it didn't have

Any answers.


Two small girls laughing,

Clambering over rocks.

Little brother holding Daddy

Firmly by the hand.
